The Second Book of Trombone Solos is for the player who already has a reasonably well developed technique and range but is not yet ready for the sonata and concerto repertoire. As with the First Book of Trombone Solos the 14 pieces are arranged in order of increasing difficulty and are equivalent to AB Grade 4 upwards. Once again the music offers a variety of styles from a number of composers, and piano accompaniments help build confidence in ensemble work. An appendix at the back of the book offers handy hints and should help to enhance musical understanding of the pieces.
