The DiMarzio The Chopper DP184 GTR Pickup is a powerful and versatile pickup designed for guitarists seeking a punchy, robust sound. Known as the louder, punchier brother of the Fast Track 1, The Chopper concentrates more power in the mids and low end, delivering a bigger sound with increased crunch. This pickup features a side-by-side coil and twin-blade construction, which eliminates misaligned poles and string-pull problems, ensuring consistent performance. Originally designed as a bridge pickup, The Chopper can also serve effectively as a neck pickup when paired with a hot humbucker in the bridge position. It is recommended for use in all positions. The sound profile of The Chopper is a unique blend of single-coil clarity and the body of a full-size humbucker, making it an excellent choice for fattening tone and boosting the power of a Strat bridge position. It can be part of a matched set with two Fast Track 1 pickups or combined with The Cruiser (DP187) in the middle position.
