The selection allows intermediate students to get to know the music of a composer who made his mark by freeing the guitar from the Latin-American cliché attributed to this instrument. The collection includes some new, previously unpublished versions of his Suite in modo polonico (1964), Piece en forme de passacaille (1953), Quattro tempi di Mazurka (1967) and Hommage a Lech Wasa (1982).
