While Music Man's USA StingRay comes equipped with a set of custom humbuckers, the California-based brand hasn't let its inexpensive, Far Eastern-made StingRay suffer with sub-standard pickups. Fitted with a pair of Sterling-designed humbuckers, these harness the same sound characteristics of the standard StingRay's pickups in great detail — rich in harmonic overtones and singing with sustain.
