Being one of the most talented of Bach's students Krebs was already during his lifetime regarded as an extraordinary composer and organist with virtuosic skills. Upon studying his comprehensive organ oeuvre one can see his great skill as an organist which manifest themselves in the virtuosic fingering and pedal technique.
