Rowley Benedictus Organ(Arc) (Softcover Book)

This short, single-movement work for Organ, published in 1931, invokes the healing balm of medicinal herbs through the use of a hymn-like melody over a steady underpinning of accompaniment. Benedictus has been a favourite among church Organists for decades.Twentieth century British composer Alec Rowley was also an Organist, pianist and dedicated teacher. Many of his compositions are miniatures and works appropriate for amateur musicians, though he also gained renown through his large-scale works performed at the Promenade Concerts and elsewhere.
