Description
Physicist Albert Einstein and Bohuslav Martinu were both professors at Princeton during World War II. As soon as Martinu realised that Einstein was a capable violinist who played Mozart sonatas with friend and keyboard virtuoso Robert Casadesus, Martinu wrote these Five Madrigal Stanzas with their roots in ancient Czech folk songs, for them. Given the pieces were written for their particular skill levels, the piano part is considerably more difficult than the violin part. Violin Part grade 6 level.
