French flute player and conductor Paul Taffanel (1844-1908) was an extraordinary virtuoso as well as the Flute Professor at the Paris Conservatoire. Marcel Moyse and Phillippe Gaubert were among his most famous students. This work is based on themes of the opera 'Jean de Nivelle' by Leo Delibes. Duration approx 9.30'.
