You won't regret buying this speaker
By: Timothy Dawe on 1 May 2021Pros. This a very warm, musical speaker. It doesn't have the strident treble a greenback has at low volume. Bass notes are present and tight, not boomy. There is clarity about the notes rather like the V-Type - another favourite speaker of mine - nothing overpowers. The sound is full and the single driver disperses wider than a 1x12. Have used in a 1x15 external cab with a DSL40CR, Blues Jnr, AC30 & JTM30 and it sounds great with both clean and overdriven rock & blues. For heavy metal, probably best to stick with V30's as the Fullback sounds a bit too 'easygoing' IMHO. Cons: Hard to find any. Maybe the spade terminals are a little soft, so if you are using 5mm female connectors be gentle and wriggle rather than push them on. But this isn't anything to do with how the speaker sounds, which as noted, is excellent. Lastly, the service from Scarlett Music was first-rate: ordered on Monday afternoon, shipped Tuesday and it arrived Wednesday lunchtime in Melbourne. You guys really impressed.
