The first volume of this series contains the so-called "Danube Arabesque" of the Polish pianist Adolf Schulz-Evler, notorious for its virtuosity, in whose downright ingenious introduction the most famous of all orchestral tremoli is translated as a roaring sound surface for ten fingers.
The present three volumes of this series will be continued with the famous "Rigoletto" paraphrase by Franz Liszt and the Tchaikovsky transcriptions ("Nutcracker" and "Sleeping Beauty") by pianist Mikhail Pletnev.
